inspired by red, coral, and yellow combination roses that are in my garden.

The colors are so rich and variable...

I still have more details to add, but am at a stopping point for today.

A Rose: Every Day in October... 2010

Last year I produced a collection of Rose images: Oil, Acrylic, Photography, Ornaments... all inspired by my friend, Melissa.  This year I will do the same... a rose every day in the month of October.  Each new image will be available for purchase...  with proceeds going to a fund for Breast Cancer Awareness, and free Mammograms to those without insurance.

 I hope you will show your support and enjoy these roses...  In honor of all those who we know,... who have lived, survived, and endured this horrible disease.

I have been collecting Rose images over the past year to be inspiration for my upcoming October rose project... so here are just a few images that I am going to start with.

Working hard on new Rose and Floral Paintings and Pastels.

I've just completed a series of rose studies in oil pastel....  chalk and watercolor are next on the list, and then I will open up the palette and begin some plein-air roses...

Again, all images that have a pink rose in them, proceeds will go toward the cost of mamograms for women who would otherwise miss this neccessary preventative treatment.  Your support of this program, simply by purchasing a "pink" themed art piece from me is just another way to remind each woman in your life that you love them!!!!
